SUBJECT:

FSI EFFECTS DURING SRV T-QUENCHER DISCHARGE BUBBLE OSCILLATIONS The Engineering Branch, DOR, has reviewed the Monticello T-Quencher Test Report, NEDE-21864-P along with the results of a study performed by our consultant Lawrence Livermore Laboratory on fluid structure interaction effects in the Mark I Suppression Chmber, NUREG/CR-0746.

Based on our review of the test results we have concluded that fluid structure interaction effects were not significant in reducing the maximum pressures measured during the Monticello T-quencher tests. A copy of our evaluation is attached.
