Tne Westinghouse Nuclear Fuel Division is herewith submitting the final report related to a shipment of plutonium oxide from the Westinghouse Plutonium Fuels Development Laboratory to the OuPont Savannah River Plant which originated on October 10, 1979.
Included for your consideration is a recommendation section applicable to the NRC Certificate of Ccmpliance l
Number 9009, Revision 3, for the FL-10-1 shipping container.
i The infonr.ation submitted should provide the justification for resumption of plutonium oxide shipments. It is hoped that the NRC will act en this matter as soon as possible.
