NOTI.CE OF ISSUANCE OF AMEND.ENT TO FACIL:TY OPERATING LICENSE The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has issued
' Amendment No.13 to Facility Operating License No. NPF-5, issued to Georgia Power Company, Oglethorpe Electric Membership Corporation, Municioal Electric Association of Georgia, and City of Dalton, Georgia, which revised Technical Specifications for operation of the Edwin I. Hatch Nuclear Plant, Unit No. 2 (the facility) located in Appling County, Georgia.
The amendment is effective as of its da e of issuance.
This amendment relates to inoperable sucoression chamber to drywell vacuum breakers whicn are known to be closed and would oermit (1) cont' ued ODeration and sta-tu: with uc to two vacuum breakers inocerable and (2) continued coeration with th-ee inocerable vacuum breakers provided the remaining vacuum breakers are demons:-ated operable at an increased frecuency.
The application for the amendment complies with the standards and require-ments cf the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Commission's rules and regulations. The Commissicn has made appr:priate findings as required by the Act and the Commission's rules and regulations in 10 C.4 Charter I, which are set forth in the license amendment.
