GENERAL 1.
Identify and provide d"awings and specifications for the specific inner container designs to ba used for normal form shipments, and show that they satisfy the esta5.lished containment criteria following the tests in Appendices A and B of 10 CFR Part 71.
2.
Provide drawings and specifications for any inner containers that are to provide gamma shielding.
CONTAINMENT 1.
Develop a containment acceptance criteria for normal conditions of trans-port and accident damage conditions for the normal form shipments.
Regulatory Guide 7.4 may be used in establishing this criteria.
2.
Revise the containment analysis provided in Section 3.2 in Report No.
ORNL/ENG/TM-8 to show that the criteria established in Item 1 above is met for all normal form containers and normal conditions of transport.
3.
Show that the containment criteria established is satisfied by the tests described in Item 3.3 of Report No. ORNL/ENG/TM-8 for accident damage conditions.
Provide a similar demonstration for any additional normal form containers.
4.
Show how the requirements of 10 CFR 671.42 will be met for normal form and special form material containing plutonium.
TESTING AND MAINTENANCE Provide a description of the containment testing program, and show that the sensitivities and testing sciiedules are adequate for safe use of the packages.
Regulatory Guide 7.4 may be used for pariodic testing.
For assembly verification it is recommended that a test of sufficient sensitivity to limit the maximum release to a type _A quantity in 10 days is used, however, a leak test sensitivity 3
greater _than lx10 3 at-cm /sec, would not be required.

at-cm /sec (air at 1 atm and 25 C leaking to a 10 2 at ambient) as specified in ANSI N14.5 should be met.
SHIELDING Show that the specific inner containers that provide gamma shielding meet the requirements of 71.35(a) and 71.36(a).
