Dear Mr. Watson:

I am delighted that the Western Interstate Energy Board agreed to join us on the Task Force on Emergency Planning for Transportation Accidents.

I expect that it will be a worthwhile and important effort.

I've reviewed your options for WlEB representation, and in the interest of keeping the group to a manageable proportion, I prefer that you have ene official representative.

Mr. Harold Collins, Assistant Director for Emergency Preparedness will co-chair the Task Force with a representative of the Department of Transportation.

I'm sure you will be hearing from them shortly about the first meeting of the Task Force where initial work assignments will be discussed and assigned.

l Sincerely, i

b K Robert G. Ryan, Director Office of State Programs cc: Mr. Lee Santman 1520 085 m uo" " #
