Dear Mr. Christman:
This will acknowledge receipt of your letter of November 15, 1979.
The Appeal Board has the pumphouse settlement issue under active consideration and desires to ren-der a decision on it as soon as feasible.
That de-cision must await, however, not merely the receipt of the report requested in my November 8 letter, but, additionally, the comments of the NRC staff (and per.
haps those of other parties as well).
For this reason, the Board has asked me to request that every effort be made to insure the completion of the report it. cime for its filing and service no later than December 10, 1979 (the date mentioned in your letter).
Needless to say, so much the better should it prove possible
.to submit the report at an earlier date.
