Dear Ms. Galloway:
This is in response to your letter of October 4,1979 in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, copies of any documents showing the price per page charged to the public for copies of transcripts of proceedings before the NRC under stenographic reporting, transcription and micrographic services contracts for fiscal years 1978-1980 and the name of each contractor.
Enclosed is a ccpy of the only NRC contract (NRC Contract No. NRC 77-117) in existence which provides for the sale of transcripts of proceedings to the public. This contract was entered into with Ace-Federal Reports, Inc. for stenographic reporting services for the period June 1,1977 through October 26, 1979. Your attention is directed to Article VI - SALE OF COPIES, on page 24 of the contract which provides the provisions for rates charged to the public for copies of transcripts covered by this contract.
As the new contract for fiscal year 1980 has not yet been awarded, a copy of the abstract of bids is enclosed for your review.
