- Gl H e s i L, At 7:47 a.. on September 22,.1979, a bomb threat call was received by a Daniel International Corporation talephone switchboard operator / security guard.
It was a long distant toll call (cost $1. 05).
A male caller stated, "I've planted a bomb in the Fuel Building and Aur Building.
We're going to blow this place up once and for all," then hung up.
The voice was calm, young, clear of background noise, and sounded as if a note was being read.
A search by the project security force failed to disclose a bo=b.-
The work force was allowed to leave the site if they desired, however, an evacuation was not required.
The Cof f ey County Sherif f was notified.
A man on site with a similar voice is being cheeved out af ter being late for work (1 hours1.157407e-5 days <br />2.777778e-4 hours <br />1.653439e-6 weeks <br />3.805e-7 months <br />) on the day of the call.
The FBI and ATF, Kansas City, have been notified.
No press release was made or planned by the licensee or NRC.
