Dear Mr. Seyfrit:
We have reviewed the subject bulletin and our response is as follows:
1.
Cc=bustion Engineering (CE) the NSSS supplier for Waterford 3 has notified us that the General Electric type AK-2 Circuit 3reakers are installed in safety related ecuipment at Waterford 3.
2.
The AK-2 Circuit 3:eakers are installed in the Reactor Trip Circuit Breaker Switchgear i C75) at Waterford 3.
CE recc=cends that the undervoltage trip device linkage be inspected and lubricated as indicated in the GE Service Advice Letter Sc. 175 (CPDD) 9.3 dated April 2,1979.
CE is evaluating alternate methods of testing the undervel: age trip circuits.
When this evaluation is cc plete, thev will notif; us of recc -
tended hardaare changes and/cr changes in testing procedures which will yield a higher confidence in the operatica of the shunt and undervoltage trip circuits.
3.
We are presently in the process of generating raintenance procedures for Waterford 3's Preventative Maintenance Progrca.
These procedures and the Preventative Maintenance Progra are being generated in the order of syste=s release to our Startup Group. Therefore, maintenance procedures for the Control Ele-cent Drive Syste - Reactor Trip Switchgear are presently scheduled for July, 1930.

In the generation of the raintenance procedures for the GE type AK-2 Circuit Breckers, the CE instruction nanual will be used for gui-dance and also the reconrended corrective action described in GE Service Advice Le t te r ':o. 175 (CPDD) 9.3 dated April 2, 1979 vill be incorporated.
The maintenance to be perforced will be done by qualified personnel.
