Enclosed is the information you asked for in your Information Request dated May 25, 1979.
The feedwater piping within the containment is shown on the P & I Diagram of the Steam Generator System, the Feedwater 1.ine Diagram and the Isometric Drawings.
These drawings show the design details of the feedwater piping system.
The pipe supports and locations are shown on the Piping Flexi-bility Calculation sheet. This drawing also identifies the point of maximum stress which is shown on the Stress Calculation sheets.
The feedwater piping material within the containw.ent is Schedule 80 ASME-SA-333 Grade 6, seamless carbon steel.
The steam generator feedwater header and feedwater nozzle material is ASME-SA-106 Grade B.
The welding on the feedwater piping was done using the gas tungsten arc and the shielded metal-arc processes.
Consumable inserts were used and the first two passes were made using the ga, tungsten-arc process with the addition of bar filler rod for the s%or 3 pass.
The third and subsequent passes were made using the shielded metal-arc process. An internal argon purge was maintained during deoosition of the two gas tungsten-arc layers and the first shielded metal-arc layer. Weld joint configuration is shown on enclosed drawing SK-6292-M-192 Preheat was not required and post weld heat treat-ing, when required, was done on a temperature time cycle of 11000 -
12000F and cne hour per inch of thickness.
