Grand Gulf Nuclear Station File 0270/15521/15525 Interim Report No. 2 for PRD 79/03 As Defined In 10 CFR 50.55(e)
AECM-79/57 On February 12, 1979, Mississippi Power & Light Company notified Mr. J. K. Rausch of your office of a potential reportable deficiency at the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station construction bite.
The deficiency concerns General Electric's failure to establish and implement an approved Quality Assurance Program for electrical work performed under Field Devf ation Dis-position Requests (FDDR) and Field Deviation Instructions (FDI).
An upgraded I&SE Quality Assurance Manual for electrical and electronics at Grand Gulf has been approved. The subject electrical work is being reinspected in accordance with the manual. We expect to issue a final report on this =atter by September 5, 1979.
