The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has found that:
A.
The application for amendment by Iowa Electric Light and Power Company, Central Iowa Power Cooperative, and Corn Belt Power Cooperative (the licensee) comprising a letter dated July 31, 1978 as supplemented by letter dated December 8,1978, complies with the standards and requirements of the Atcmic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Commission's rules and regulations set forth in 10 CFR Chapter I; 3.
The facility will operate in conformity witn the apolication, the provisions of the Act, and tne rules and regulations of tne Commission; C.
There is reasonaole assurance (i) that tne activities authorized by this amendment can be conducted without endangering the health and safety of the puDlic, and (ii) tnat such activities will be conducted in compliance with the Ccamission's regulations; D.
The issuance of tnis amencment will not be inimical to the common defense and security or to the health and safety of the public; and E.
The issuance of this amendment is in accordance with 10 CFR Part 51 of the Commission's regulations and all applicable recuirements have been satisfied.

Accordingly, Facility Operating License fio. DPR-49 is hereby amended by adding paragraph 2.C.(4) as follows:
The licensee is authorized to operate the Duane Arnold Energy Center following installation of modified safe-ends on the eight primary recirculation system inlet lines which are described in the application for amendment specified in paragraph 1 above.

This license amendment is effective as of the date of its issuance.
