License R-66 Docket 50-62 Gentlemen:

This letter provides our response to a possible deviation from generally accepted industry practice which was identified as Item A, Appendix A in your 1ctter RII:SCE 50-62/78-2 dated November 28, 1978.

This respcnse was inadvertently omitted from our letter of December 14, 1978.

Appendix A, Item A stated that response and leak tests of pocket dosimeters had not been performed every six months in accordance with Regulatory Guide S.4, " Direct-Reading and Indirect-Reading Pocket Dosimeters."

Since the NRC inspection, procedures for response and leak tests of pocket dosimeters have been written.

The Reactor llealth Physicist has been directed to perform response and leak tests according to these procedures at maximum intervals of six months.

Records of these tests will be maintained.

All pocket dosimeters at the Reactor Facility have received a response and Icak test.

n ose tests verified that the dosimeters have acceptable performance.

These corrective actions were completed by December 7, 1978.

Sincerely,

-, i f ) - }r, \\jfwf
