- JM i 1 1990 MEMORANDUM FOR:
Madonna Krug, Project Manager Uranium Recovery Licensing Branch FROM:
Giorgio Gnugnoli, Project Manager Uranium Recovery Licensing Branch
SUBJECT:
CONVERSATIONS WITH VICTOR P. DURA (SAI) REGARDING B0KUM NILL AREA GRAZING LOCATIONS On Wednesday, December 19, 1979, Mr. Dura called to inform me of seven locations which were considered to be real or potential grazing locations for cattle at the Bokum Mill site. These locations were submitted to him by Mr. Ray Waggoner of Bokum Resources Corp. The coordinates are listed below:
(a)
Location km. east km. north
- m. elevation 1
2.38 0.24
-168.0 2
1.83 1.46
-150.0 3
2.20 1.20
-156.0 4
2.80 1.30
-156.0 5
0.12 1.22
-84.4 6(b)
-0.43(c)
-0.07
-21.0 7
-0.79 0.43
-76.0 However, upon siting these locations on maps, there were three inconsistencies.
Locations 1, 2 and 3, were inside the restricted area boundary lines, and grazing is not permitted in this area.
No resolution was obtained after further consultation with Mr. Dura on December 20, 1979. However, on December 21, 1979, Mr. Dura confirmed that location 1 was indeed inside the boundary, and there would not be any grazing there upon initiation of mill operation.
The other inconsistencies (a) Elevation is given as meters with respect to the center coordinates of the mill.
(b)This location should consider the milk and vegetable, as well as the meat pathway.
(c)A negative figure denotes the opposite direction, e.g.,.43 km west.

Madonna Krug are attributable to the slight difference in the frames of reference which ara being used.
It was agreed that these locations should be relocateo outside the boundary line in the same general locations. The revised information has been taken into consideration for reassigning grazing locations for the Bokum Mill radiological assessment.
