Dear Mr. Lee:
This is in response to your letter dated December 14, 1979 in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, all grants made or proposed to be made to " Consumer Federation of America," " Consumer Energy Council" or " Energy Policy Task Fcrce of the Consumer Federation of America", requests for grants from these groups, and any reports made to the Department of Energy from any grants made to these groups.
This confirms a telephone conversation on January 7,1980 between Ms.
Deborah Frazier of your staff and Mr. Dick Lavins of my staff, in which your office was advised that the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has made no grants to private individuals or organizations.
There fore, there are no records in the possession of the NRC subject to your request.
This completes action on your request.
