...If any document identified by SMUD and therefore requested herein has been placed in the SMUD Public Document Room, please so indicate.

RESPONSE

Pursuant to 10 C.F.R. $ 2.741(d), Licensee hereby responds to this request by stating that the documents identified in Licensee's answers to "First Set of Friends of the Earth Interrogatories to Sacramento Municipal Utility District", dated December 17, 1979, will be made available to Friends of the Earth for inspection and copying in the following manner.

The requested documents will be made available in the offices of the Sacramento Municipal Utility District, 6201 S Street, Sacramento, California.

Licensee objects to the Friends of the Earth document production request to the extent that it seeks the production of documents at Friends of the Earth offices.

The documents will be made available during Distric.t business hours. Appointments to inspect the documents may be arranged by telephoning Robert A. Dieterich or Jan E. Schori, at 452-3211, at least 24 hours2.777778e-4 days
0.00667 hours
3.968254e-5 weeks
9.132e-6 months
before the requested inspection.

Licensee will maintain the documents assembled and available for inspection by Friends.of the. Earth until January 31, 1980.

Inspected documents which Friends of the Earth wishes to have copied will be reproduced by the District on a schedule compatible with other demands for District duplicating equipment.

A District employee will be available during the inspection in order to receive any requests for copying. Copies of such selected documents will then be furnished to Friends of the Earth upon payment of nine cents per page, the District's cost of reproduction.

Licensee has not conducted an audit to determine which of the documents produced are also in the NRC Public Document Room for Rancho Seco. We would expect, however, that the documents identified in answer to Interrogatories 5, 6 and 8 are Mi the NRC Public Document Room.

Respectfully submitted, SHAW, PITTMAN, POTTS & TROWBRIDGE Yo,~
