Purge and Vent Valve Operability - Supplemental Information This letter was prepared at the requcst of your staff to supplement information previously transmitted by Reference (c).

As requested in Reference (b), Vermont Yankee commits to operating in conformance with the interim positions contained in Reference (b) ending resolution of the purge and vent valve operability issue.

In addition, we have completed the evaluation required by Reference (b) regarding the environmental qualification of solenoid valves mounted on purge and vent valves. Documentation received from the manufacturer confirms that the valves identified in Reference (c) are qualified

}2 and will operate, if required, during accident conditions.
