On December 26, 1979 the Department filed a " Motion for Extension of Time to Answer Third Set of Interrogatories and Requests for Production of Documents from Houston Lighting & Power Company" and " Response to Response of Houston Lighting & Power to Department of Justice's Motion for Extension of Time, dated December 14, 1979."
On-December 28, 1979 and December 31, 1979 the Department filed applications with the Board for Issuance of Subpoenas Duces Tecum.
Throughout the month of December the Department also continued to analyze discovery material previously received and to prepare for trial.
