Gentlemen:
In response to IE Bulletin 79-24, a complete review of Arkansas Nuclear One, Units 1 and 2, was performed to determine that adequate protective measures have been taken to assure that safety related processes, instru-ments, and sampling lines do not freeze during cold weather.
As a result of this r'. view the following equipment was identified as possible freeze hazards:
1.
Refueling Water Tank Overflow and Level Sensing Lines.
2.
Sodium Hydroxide Tank Level Sensing and Recirculation fill lines.
For this equipment, engineering evaluations for needed modifications have been initiated to provide adequate freeze protection.
