Gentlemen:
Haddam Neck Plant Fuel Cladding Strain and Fuel Assembly Flow Blockage Models In Reference (1), the NRC Staff requested that all licensees review the vendor submittals on fuel cladding strain and fuel assembly flow blockage models and to confirm that the representations made on our behalf were correct.
The Connecticut Yankee Atomic Power Company (CYAPCO) has been following the develop-ments concerning the Oak Ridge National Laboratory Report (NUREG-0630) and the NRC Staff concerns.
The Haddam Neck Plant utilizes only stainless steel clad fuel, thus, the latest zircaloy clad behavior information does not apply to the Haddam Neck Plant ECCS analyses.
We trust you find this information responsive to your request.
Very truly yours, CONNECTICUT YANKEE ATOMIC POWER COMPANY d
