SUBJECT:
DRAFT TECHNICAL " REPORT ON BWR CONTROL R0D DRIVES MECHANICAL FAILURES" - TASK B-48 We have previously worked with members of your staff to resolve comments on the draft technical report entitled " Report on BWR Control Rod Drives Mechanical Failures". This report summarizes CRD operating experience and includes our recent conclusions (as stated in our September 20, 1978 letter to GE). As such this report is meant to serve as documentation of the completion of Technical Activity B-48.
For ease of reference, a copy of our draft Task Action Plan is also attached.
We request your coments and/or concurrence to issue this report as a NUREG.
Please provide your coments to K. Jabbour (ext. 28414) by COB November 27, 1978.
