20530 RE:

Houston Lighting & Power Company South Texas Project, Units 1 and 2 (Docket Nos. 50-498A and 50-499A)

Dear Ms. Cyphert:

This is to advise that we have copied the supple-mental workpapers which the Department selected from Mr. Gerber's files.

Prior to forwarding the documents to you, I must insist that the Department furnish pay-ment for all its outstanding bills for copying docu-ments, or provide written assurance that such bills will be paid within thirty days.

The Department's unpaid bills for copying extend back to a time of well over a year.

I realize that counsel does not exercise direct control over such matters, but in light of the prolonged delay, it is only reasonable to ask that counsel take every effort to facilitate payment.

The Department should forward a check payable to Lowenstein, Newman, Reis, Axelrad & Toll in the amount of $14.43, which is our cost for copying the Gerber documents.

Also, the Department should provide a check payable to Houston Lighting & Power Company for $598.51 for documents copied in August of 1978.

Finally, the Department should provide a check payable to Baker and Bottr for $24.97 for documents copied from Dr. Woodson's files.
