Dear Sir:

Attached is Supplement 2 to Licensee Event Report 79-15, which provides additional information relative to Bechtel's evaluations of single-wythe and mortared double-wythe masonry walls supporting safety-related piping.

This supplement provides (a) a complete summary of corrective action relative to single-and mortared double-wythe masonry walls, (b) a description of conclusions rela-tive to composite walls and other types of supporting structures, (c) a discussion of the inapplicability of the FSAR loading combi-nation which includes the OBE factored by 1.8, and (d) results of PGE's investigation into the cause of the deficiency identified in LER 79-15.

Submittal of this information, along with that provided by LER 79-15 and Supplement 1 to LER 79-15 as well as our letters of November 4 and November 16, together with completion of the work related to the piping restraints summarized in Supplement 2 completes the action required by your letter of October 22, 1979.
