Date of Incident: September 27, 1979 2.
Identification of specific effluent limitation exceeded: Daily maxim:us total phorphorous concentration two mg/1.

Description of Incident: On September 27, 1979 approximately 2,500 gallons of laundr'/ waste were discharged. The contents of this release measured 4.92 ag/l total phorphorous.

Apparent Cause: The indiscriminate use of a new laundry detergent containing higher levels of phosphate was re::ponsible for the increased levels of phosphorous discharged.

If not immediately corrected, the anticipated time the condition is expected to continue:

Corrective Action - The following corrective acticn was taken or will be taken to reduce, eliminate and prevent recurrence: Appropriate plant staff were advised to cease the indiscriminate use of the new detergent.
