Dear Mr. Frino:
This letter provides guidance and funding to BNL to support the Division of Operating Reactors for evaluating the fire protection programs in operating nuclear power plants.
The scope of this work and the schedule are defined in the enclosure. The FY 1980 BH Financiai Plan will include $220,000 for this work under B&R 2019 0103 Fin A3107, and 580,000 for this work under B&R 2019 11 21 Fin A3335.
Quarterly reports of technical progress and financial status should be forwarded to this office. Topical Reports should be prepared on the completion of each major subtask.
The DOR technical contact for overall management of this program is Robert L. Ferguson, and he can be contacted at 301/492-7096.
NRC Forms 173, Standard Order for DOE Work, for 5300,000 are also enclosed. Please indicate DOE acceptance by signing and returning the enclosed NRC Forms 173 to the NRC Office of the Controller, Division of Accounting, with a copy to the Office of NRR, Attention:
