ATTA0 BENT FNP, thit 1, war, in an extended refueling outage until Novmber 21, 1979. Between Novmoer 22 and Deceber 7,1979, plant personnel performed an audible check of the Plant Emergency Evacuation Alarm.

The containment was checked while the unit was in node 3. The Auxiliary Building and rest of the plant site was checked while the unit was in mode 1. 'Ihe check of the Plant Emergency Evacuation Alarm revealed numerous areas in contaiment and throughout the plant site where the alarm could not be heard by plant personnel.

Visual Plant Emergency Evacuation Alarm Systmis are not installed at FNP. The Plant Dmrgency Evacuation Alarm is carried over the Public Address Systs.

Alabana Power Ompany will implement design correction measures on an expedited basis. Implementation will begin as soon as design and materials are available. Inaccessible areas will be corrected at the first refueling outage following receipt of design and materials (anticipated to be October 1980) .
