Subject:
BOMB THREAT On May 21, 1979, the Waterford, Connecticut Police received a telephone call from an unidentified individual, who stated that a bomb was planted at the Millstone Nuclear Site and was set to go off at 1:45 a.m., May 21,1979.
The plant was advised and a search was conducted with negative results.
Media interest is expected.
A press release is not planned by the licensee or the i;RC.
The State of Connecticut and the local FBI were notified.
The IAT has been notified.
NRC, Region I (Philadelphia) received telephone notification of this occurrence from the licensee and the NRC Resident Inspector at 1:30 a.m., May 21,1979.
