PNS-79-30 This preliminary notific& tion constitutes EARLY notice of events of POSSIBLE national security or public interest significance.
The information presented

B0MB THREAT At approximately 7:39 p.m. on April 5, 1979, the Hartsville Tennessee Police Department received a ~ telephonic bomb threat from an unknown male.
The caller threatened that three bombs had been placed at the site and that they were scheduled to go off by the morning.
Plant personnel were notified of the threat by Hartsville Police.
A search was not conducted.
Media interest is not expected and no news release is planned by the licensee or NRC. The FBI and the State of Tennessee have been informed.
The I AT was noti fied.
The olant is in the beginning construction phase and SNM is not scheduled to be onsite until 1982.
Region II (Atlanta) received notification of this occurrence by telephone from the licensee at 4:08 p.m. on April 6,1979.
