Tnis memorandum provides guidance to EG&G ta support the Division of Operating Reactors in EI&C areas imoortant to the safe operation of nuclear power plants. The scoce of this work and schedule are defined in the enclosure. The FY 1980 ID Financial Plan will include $320,000 for this work under S&R 20 19 01 03, Fin A6256.
Menthly reports providing technical progress and financial status should be forwarded to this office.
Interim reports should be provided on the completion of major program milestones.

The enclosed NRC Fonn 173, Standard Order for DOE work, for $320,000 is hereby submitted in accordance with Section III.B.2 of the DCE/NRC Memorandum'of Understanding of February 24, 1978.
