This letter constitutes our formal reply to the subject inspection report.

It is our opinion that nothing in the report or in this letter is of a proprietary nature.

The following is our response to the items of noncompliance identified in Appendix "A" of the report.

Item la.

Cleanliness of Floor Above Switchgear Room a.

Corrective Action Taken and Results Achieved The miscellaneous construction debris has been cleaned up and will continue to be cleaned on a once a week basis in this area.

b.

Corrective Action Taken to Avoid Further Noncompliance Action has been taken by the Constructor in meetings with the Architect-Engineer to have a design review made concern-ing the Zonolite floor covering in this area.

At the present, it is believed that the Zonolite can be removed completely and/or a sealer applied that would contain the Zonolite.

The Constructor is prepared to take action based on directions from the Architect-Engineer.

Item lb, Protection of Cables During Welding a.

_ Corrective Action Taken and Results Achieved The Electrical Contractor's General Superintendent has taken action by advising the superintendents and foremen under his jurisdiction to assure the proper protection of surrounding equipment and safety-related cables during the performance of any welding.

b.

Corrective Action Taken to Avoid Further Noncompliance Corrective action to avoid further noncompliance shall be surveillance by the Constructor's QA/QC personnel.

The HVAC contractor is completing his work in this area; however, action was taken by means of written instructions, to caution the HVAC contractor's craftsmen regarding welding protection.

c.

Date When Full Compliance Will Be Achieved This item is considered to be in compliance as of the date of this letter.

We trust that the above will constitute an acceptable response to the subject Inspection Report.
