Dear Sir:

We urnently call vour attention to the reauest tv Consumers Power Co,.--fo* accroval to us e 4 times the current am:unt of plutonium at Big Rock--Charlevoir-- and more than double the stra or

    • s s torag e facilities for the hignly radioactive waste there.

We say " urgently" call your attention to this tragic request--

one that every loyal and concerned American is rising up in disbelief -- to think that industry has become so brazen and power-ful that it would presume to endanger our very existence....we the public have reached the saturation point...we want no more of it.

We want a safe world..we want it for ourselves and for our grand-children....we.aren't afraid of sacrifice and discipline on the energy problem...we can_ face that....we are aware of the time element in securing the " safe" energy sources, and we'll bide our time....

BUT we want NO MORE NUCLEAR CRISIS...no more excuses..and no more alibis.

You as our Senator from Michigan has an important job to do in rep-resenting us and we are looking for you to voice and express the needs and wants of us--the people you are representing.

We shall watch with renewed interest your' comments and actions in Washington, Thank you for your prompt attention.

Very truly yours, kh
