St'?PLEME::T ;0 1 TO I::TERIM REPORT OF '

SIG'iIFICA :T CO: STRUCTIO i DEFICIE!;CY 2; UMBER 13 Section IV - CORRECTIVE ACTIO:i SUPPLFME::T Microscismic testing has been perf ormed by Fegles consultant , R Muenew and Asscciates, in addition to eleven verification core sanples. The consultant's report has identified only snall areas of hcneycomb and a localiced cold joint and appe:rs not to be of a nature so as to require entire renoval of the wall. These findings are further substantiated by the cores taken thus far. If any internal repairs are required they crn be made by local chipping of the concrete and possible epoxy grouting.

This includes the lack of bond disco <ered in sene areas at the censtruc-tion joint at El +17 9.

Based upon the above findings it has been decided to allew construction of the dcne first icyer concreta to proceed. Calculaticas indicate a very small portion of the fluid concrete lead la trcasferred to the para-pet wall prior to lowering the de e support fornwerk. There is now a sufficient level of confidence in the integrity of the placenent to al-Icv this loading. Placenent of the fir =t lift will not in any way ef-feet the investigation or repair of placceent 521-13. Decentering of the done fernwork will not proceed until a final d2 termination is made of the integrity and repair procedure of the wall.

This section of the report will be updated to include all the findings and repair procedures which are presently b2ing develeped.
