SUBJECT:
INTERFACE WITH NRR TASK FORCE ON EMERGENCY PLANNING To expedite our interface I would propose the following arrangements between OSP/EP and NRR's Task Force on Emergency Planning.
(For reference I have at-tached a list of current staff assignments as they relate to both licensees and states.
The list also includes pertinent review date recomendations.)
1.
NRR will provide OSP with an updated schedule of site visits each month. This will include the date, time and location of the meeting with state and local governments.
If the schedule is changed it will be the responsibility of the NRR Team leader to notify the pertinent SP representative.
If he is unavailable contact should be ther made with E. W. McPeek or H. W. Gaut (in that order).

Approximately 30 days in advance of a visit OSP will furnish 1RR two copies of the available state and local emergency plans based upon the schedule provided.
3.
OSP will notify Lead State Agency and the FEMA Regional Office of the scheduled meeting.
This notification will serve several purposes, it will assure that all affected parties are aware of the meeting.
It will reinforce any other notification made by NRC and by the licensee, and it will afford OSP the opportunity to explain the purpose of the meeting w State officials.
4.
If OSP cannot, for whatever reason, attend the meeting, NRR's Team Leader will be notified. However, OSP will st ll make notification described in item 3.
