He had received call from Motorola salesman who offered any help they could as far as radios went.
Mr. Hood also reported that he had received call from Bell Telephone Co. offering any assistance they could give.
Chuck Heydt, General Electric Co., called to offer assistance on Unit 1.

March 29 Mr. Charles Ambrogi of Crouse Co. called and asked that Mr. Herbein be given the message that "All my labor support union contracts are still in force.
I can help, call me."
i Mr. Bill Counsil of Northeast Utilities (classmate of Mr. Herbein) called to volunteer their services.
Mr. Klingaman had Mike Buring speak to Mr. Counsil.

Mr. Ellery Hammond of Duane Arnold Energy Center in Iowa called and said that he thought Mr. Herbein might want to call him.
They had just returned from a 9-month outage.
They had a crack in main coolant pipe and had a small scale radiation problem.
He said he could be reached at AC319-851-5611.
If they could be of any assistance he would be glad to help.
Mr. Klingaman received call from Bob Hackett of Philadelphia Electric (maintenance).
Mr. Hackett offered help and pointed out to Mr. Klingaman that they had used bladder for storing liquid at Peach Bottom.
Mr. Heisner, Pittsburgh Des Moines Steel Co. (maker of containment vessel), called and asked if they could be of any assistance.
Checked with Mr. Klingaman and then informed Mr. Heisner that we had not been in building and have not identified any problems yet.
If we needed their help, we would call them at AC412-331-3p00.

Dr. Witzig of Penn State called in to the office of the President of Met-Ed and left the following two messages:

Dr. Witzig had worked with an outside firm, Delaware Custom Material of 44 E. College Ave., State College, Pa.,
telephone number AC814-234-4452.
DOE had similar problem in Idaho, solicified 90,000 gallons of waste water (same as TMI).
Delaware Custom Material would be interested in being of whatever assistance they can at TMI.

Dr. Witzig offere1 assistance of the faculty or students at Penn State if they could be of any help they would attempt to respon1.
Dr. Witzig said he cotld be reached at Gelsinger (hospital) where he would be undergoing tests until mid-morning 3/30, telephone AC717-275-6603.

He had served as Director of Nuclear Technology on Rickover's staff for eight years and was Sr. Technical Advisor on Westinghouse breeder program.

INFORMATIOtl CALL At 2:15 P.M. on March 30, 1979, a call was received from Dr. Mark Goldstein of Manuf acturing and Maintenance Associates in Chicago, Illinois, telephone number AC312-629-6556.
Dr. Goldstein said that whenever everything settles down and we need to take care of the people who think they were exposed there is a way that these people can be measured, lab tested, and treated preventively, cursively, without resorting to script drugs, by using enzymes.

Background
l Recent security incidents at both Portland and TMI, the forthec=ing unit i
2 startup and the corresponding need for statien support from the CTSS I
cutlined in reference (A), indicate the need for the enclosure (1) duty section assignments.
Assignments Sectionc I through V Specific duty section assignments by name for Sections I through V cre to be made in the functional areas listed by the managers designated below.
Sections I through V individual assignments by functional area are to be submitted by each manager to P. G. Christman prior to 11 Auzust.
Anaignment Reviev Taul Christman is requested to assemble the individual functional Sections I through V duty assignments and then review the overall duty section assignment list with R. M. Klingaman, L. L. Lawyer and each designated Duty CTSS Section Head for depth, balance and technical capability within each of the five sections.

, Contact Paul Christman is requested to arrange for a " Bell Boy" pager to be carried by the CTSS Duty Section Head during his.seven (7) day duty period.
Individual d"ty section members are required during their seven (7) day duty period to remain within the area and are to be immediately available by telephone contact from the CTSS Duty Section Head.
J. G. Herbein, L. L. Lawyer and R. M. Klingaman vill keep the CTSS Duty Section Head advised of their location and vill remain on call when they are not en vacation.
In the event of an emergency or noteworthy event at any of the stations the CTSS Duty Section Head is to be notified by either L. L. Lawyer, the Station Superintendent or other members of station management. Upon notification and assessment of the cirewnstances, the CTSS Duty Section Head vill notify Generation Management (JGH) and the specific members of his duty section. Luty section members will then lend the support and expertise required depending on the nature and magnitude of the event which has cecurred Or is in progress.
3 Procedures-Initially Paul Christ an is requested to ccordinate the formation of the CTSS duty section concept by a series of menos related to specific identified needs which vill eccur as the concept evolves. After the concept has evolved into a defined pattern Paul is requested to promulgate a Generation Procedure formally imple=enting the CTSS Duty Section cencept and operational details.
Stations L. L. Lawyer is requested to formalize a similar d'.y section system at each of the generating stations and the combustion turbines. Weekly duty section lists with changes for each station shou' a be received by L. L.
Lawyer, P. G. Christ:an and the CTSS Duty Sect.on Head by Wednesday 1300 each veek.
The basic duty section assignments for each station should be provided to P. G. Christ =an by L. L. Lawyer by 17 August.
Coordinaticn Inte see details between the assigned station duty sections, and the CTSS Duty 1 tion Head vill be covered as required in appropriate memo in-struculons issued by L. L. Lawyer and P. G.
