NRC Vessel Integrity Review Group Fracture Toughness of Welds from 2nd and 3rd Irradiation Series I would like to invite you to attend a VIRG meeting to be held on:
6 November 1979 at 1:00 p.m.
Room 1133. W111ste Building Silver Spring. Haryland.
Its purpose is threefeld:
1.
To review the J-R curve and Charpy V-notch test data for welds 61W, 62W and 63W obtained by HEDL and NRL.
(The compact specimens were of size 1/2T.)
2.
To decide how to test the 0.8T 1.6T and 4T compact specimens of welds 61W, 62W and 63W (depth of side grooves, test temperature, instrumentation, neber of specimens, etc.).
3.
To outline a test program for the coupact specimens of welds 64W, 65W. 66W and 67W.
In the past we also invited representatives of the industry and consultants to attend VIRG meetings. This time we are limiting the attendance to NRR and SD staff and those RES contractors who are involved in the work under review.
