APPLICANTS' MOTION FOR AN ORDER FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF A PREHEARING CONFERENCE I.

A conference of the parties in the above proceeding was scheduled for Wednesday, June 20, 1979, in Portland, Oregon. As specified in the Order of May 11, 1979 estab-lishing this conference, the purpose of the conference was to discuss schedules and the status of the issues remaining to be determined in the above proceeding.

II.

The conference set for June 20, 1979 was temporarily postponed on June 14, 1979 on account of the illness of then Board Chairman James R. Yore. On or about August.29, 1979, the parties to the above proceeding were advised that Mr. Yore was unable to continue his service on the above Board and Elizabeth S. Bowers, Esq., was appointed in his place.

Applicants hereby respectfully request that a new

P i Page Two time and place be fixed for the prehearing conference es-tablished by the Board's order of May ll, 1979. Applicants have discussed this matter with counsel for the NRC Staff and counsel for the State of Oregon. Each has requested Applicants to advise the Board that they would have no ob-jection to the granting of this Motion. Applicants have attempted to reach Mr. Marbet by telephone to ascertain his wishes in the matter but have been unable to do so.
