Dear Chairman Hendrie:

I understand tha' ou have been asked by certain Pennsyl-vanians to expedite the reop..nings of the Unit i reactor at Three Mile Island. As a resident of the Harrisburg area, I am adasantly opposed to the reopening of Unit 1, and am appalled by that possibility.

Metropolitan Edison's repeated safety violations and blatant disregard of NRC regulations make it i= perative that the plant stay SHUT DOWN. I urge you on behalf of the people who live in this area, who have already been exposed to the =ost serious health riska (not to mention mental anguish), to do everything in your power to prevent another accident that "could not happen." The only way to accomplish this is to close TMI PERMANENTLY.

Sincerely, r(, ,_)
