Docket No. 50-458 Construction Permit No. CPPR-145

Dear Mr. Denton:

In support of its application to amend construction Permit No. CPPR-145 to include Cajun Electric Power Cooperative, Inc. and Sam Rayburn G&T, Inc., as co-owners of the River Bend Station, Unit 1, Gulf States Utilities Company hereby submits the following:

(1) Three signed originals and nineteen copies of the Amendment to Applicati3n and Request for Amendment of Construction Permit No. CPPR-145.

(2) Twenty copies of the Part 50 Appendix L Antitrust Information required by 10 C.F.R. Sections 2.101(a)(5) and 50.33a of the Commission's regulations.

In accordance with the requirements of 10 C.F.R. Part 170, enclosed is a check in the amount of $4,000 as payment of the Amendment Fee.

Pursuant to 170.12(c) and $170.22, Gulf States Utilities Company has determined that the requested amendment qualifies as a " Class III" amendment.
