In the first paragraph of the August 8th letter, reference is unde to the "May 1, 1978 response" to an Immediate Action Letter from the N.R.C dated February 8, 1978.

Neither the response of May 1, 1978, nor the Immediate Action Letter of February 8,

1978, were enclosed with the documents which you forwarded to me pursuant to my FOIA request.

As indicated in our May 1,1978 response to your I=nediate Action Letter of February 8,1978, we have revised and reissued our Quality Assure.nce Manual. It was released August 7,1978 and win beecce effective with issuance and training cec:pleted of an applicable sub-tier procedures and instructions. Fomally designated the " Corporate Nuclear Quality Assurance Progra=," it addresses the Perry Project's policy and posture on activities in sufficient detail to provide guidance for all sub-tier procedure and instruction developtnent.
