1 AEC MAIGS AVAILABLE SUPPLEMENT TO STAFF EVALUATION OF PROPOSED NUCLEAR POWER PLANT IN PENNSYLVANIA The Ato=ic Energy Ccm=ission is =aking available to the public copies of a supple =ent to an evaluation prepared by its Regulatory Staff concerning the safety aspects of the nuclear power plant which Metropoli-tan Edison Co=pany proposes to build on Three Mile Island in the Susquehanna River.
Metropolitan Edison Co=pany of Reading, Pennsylvania, has applied for a per=it to build a pressurized water reactor with an initial gross electrical output of 845,000 kilowatts ihich would be located on Three Mile Island above York Haven da=.
When the AEC staff evaluation of the project was =ade public on March 21, 1968, it was announced that a supple = ant would be available at a later date which would take into account recent a=end=ents to the cc=-
pany's application relating to the *.acation of the Ol= stead State Airport near the site of the proposed facility.
A copy of the supple =ent to the evaluation is now available for inspection in the Cocaission's Public Document Roo=,1717 H Street NW, Washington, D. C. or may be obtained by writing the Director, Division of Reactor Licensing, Atomic Energy Co==ission, Washington, D. C. 20545.
A public hearing on the application before an Ato=ic Safety and

Licensing Board began on April 10 in Middletown. The hearing was adjourned on April 11 to await receipt of the supple =ent to the staff evaluation.
Requests for further hearing on the additional evidence by any person whose interest may be affected by the proceedings should be filed with the Secretary, Ato=ic Energy Co=sission, Washington, D. C. 20545, by 1454 183 May 6, 1968.
