Dear Mr. Bauser:
The Atomic Energy C==f asion has issued an Order Extending the Provisional Construction Permit Completion Data for Metropolitan Edison Company's Three Mile Island Nuclear Station Unit No.1.
In lieu of the completion date of December 1,1971, the latest completion date has been extended to September 30, 1973.
The applicant's stated reasons of " Good cause" for requesting this extension of time include lengthening construction schedules due to lessened productivity, labor shortages, major and minor strikes, and adverse weather conditions.
Two copies of each of the applicant's request letters stating the reascas for requesting the extension and two copies of the Canaission's Order are enclosed for the information of the Joint C. W ttee. Copies of the Order have been sent to the Office ot *he Federal Register for filing and publication.
