ATOMIC ENERGY COMMISSION DOCKET NO. 50-289 METROPOLITAN EDISON COMPANY Order Extending Provisional Construction Permit Completion Date By application dated October 26, 1971 and supplemental letters dated November 22, 1971 and January 13, 1972; Metropolitan Edison Company requested an extension of the latest completion date specified in Provisional Construction Permit No. CPPR-40.
The permit authorizes the construction of a pressurized water nuclear reactor designated as the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station Unit No. 1 at the applicant's site on Ihree Mile Island in the Susquahanna River in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
Good cause having been shown for this extension pursuant to Sectica 185 of the Atomic Energy act of 1954, as amended, and Section 50.55(b) of 10 CFR Part 50 of the Commission's regulations, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED THAT the latest completion date specified in Provisional Construction Permit No. CPPR-40 is extended from December 1,19 71, to Sep tember 30, 1973.
