.DSE EVALUATION OF THREE MILE ISLAND HUCLEAR STATION, UNIT 50.1, WITH RESPECT TO APPENDIX 1 TO 10 CFR PART 50 Enclosed ks DSE's detailed evaluation of the radioactive waste treatment systems installed at Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Unit No.1, with respect to the requirements of Appendix 1.
The results of our evaluation are contained la the attached " Safety Evaluation and Environa' ental Impact Appraisal," We have also attached a draft " Notice of Issuance of Amena-ment to Fact 11ty Operating Licenses and Negative Declaration."

Based on our evaluation, we conclude that the radioactive waste treatment

systems installed at Three Mile Island, Unit No.1, are capable of main-

taintag releases of radioactive materhls in effluents to "as low as is reasonably achievable" levels in conformance with the requirements of 10 CFR i'.-
'L Part 50.34a, and conferas to tha requirements of Sections II.A, II.B. II.C, 4
and ILD of Appendix I.
