DOCKET NO. 50-289 The attached report of a visit to the subject facility on November 3-5, 1969 is forwarded for infor=ation. No items of nonconformance and no safety items were identified.
The report discussed the applicant's discovery, during receiving inspection, of suspected nonconforming ASTM A-312 pipe.
Preliminary evaluation by Met-Ed indicates either incomplete fusion or the addition of filler metal in the longitudinal seam.
Samples have been sent to three independent laboratories for evaluation.
Region I will follow and report the results of these evaluations.
