METROPOLITAN EDISON CO. - CONSTRUCTION PERMIT On December 8, I received a telephone call from Mr. Karnish, Metropolitan Edison Company,asking for some information and pamphlets which would be helpful in applying for a construction permit.
I told him that I would have someone from the Division of Reactor Licensing send him some information.
The information should be sent to:
Mr. G. P. Karnish Metropolitan Edison Co.
Engineering Departnent 2800 Pottsville Pike Reading, Pa.
He said they had not decided on a site yet but hoped to make a decision by January or February of 1967.
Also, he said that construction would start by March of 1968 with completion by 1971.
I told him that we would be glad to talk to him about the reactor and the construction permit, but that the selection of a site was also very important.
A meeting was suggested between Metropolitan Edison Co. and Reactor Licensing personnel when they have picked a site and are on the road to getting the application ready.
Mr. Karish said this would be a B&W reactor.
