- <L. :leidig called requesting a '::ceting to discuss the changes they vished to -de in the tendon anchors in the base slab. This change vculd permit them to ic. stall either the 90-vire system or the 170-vire system. Meeting date was set for May 24, 1963.
May 24,1%8 Had : meting vith applicant and on the basis of the informa-tien presented at the meeting, including detailed laycu;s and reinforcing design, we concluded that the installatica of the larger anchor plates for the possible use with the 170-vire system or the 90-vire systen was acceptable. At this =eeting the subject of filing an amendment to pe:.it the use of the 170-vire system in the contai=ect desi;n was discussed. We informed the applicant that we considered this to be a significant change to the facility and that a const:uction pemit ameci:nent should be filed. Our bases for this statement was that this veuld be the first pre-stressed contai=ent to use the 170-vire system and that to date the only consideration given to this systen was."_th Ft. St. Vrain, which we considered not applicable to the Met-Ed conta1=ent.
The applicant stated he veuld file an amend ent within a veel or so requestind cur review of the 170-vire systen design.
May 28, 1963 Met-Ed submitted a letter stating that the ancher pinte veuld be changed i. the base slab. This letter verified cur decision at the May 24,1968 =ceting.
We tock no action en this letter.
July 1, 1966 Met-Ed filed A=end:ent Iso.11, the Constructica Femit Applicatica. The cover letter did not request what acticn they requested.
