The information presented is as initially received without verification or evaluation and is basically all that is known by IE staff as of this date FACILITY:
Westinghouse Fuel Plant License No. SNM-1107 Columbia, South Carolina SUhJECT:
INDUSTRIAL ACCIDENT AT A FUEL FACILITY A painting contractor employee working on a building expansion project fell 20 feet this morning and suffered multiple compound fractures of both arms.
No radioactivity was involved. The employee is expected to recover. The matter has been reported by the licensee to the State of South Carolina and OSI.A.
Media interest could develop.
A news release is not planned at this time by the licensee nor NRC.
Region II (Atlanta) received notification of this occurrence Fi telephene from the licensee at 1:15 p.m. on 7/5/79.
