POSSIBLE OVEREXPOSURE TO NUCLEAR MEDICINE TECHNOLOGIST The licensee reported an apparent overexposure e the extremities of a Nuclear Medicine Technologist of 370 rems for the period o ~ April 11 to May 10,1979.
The exposure was determined from r' 1 badge results.
The whole body badge for this period showed 60 rems.
The exposed employee is no longer employed by the licensee.
She was contacted and indicated that no skin erythema has occurred.
She indicated that the badge reading may have resulted from an r.ccidental dropping of the badge causing it to break open.
She reas.aied the badge after the cccurrence.
Region III plans to investigate this incident.
Neitner the licensee nor the NRC plans a press release.
The State of Indiana has been informed.
