PRELIMINARY NOTIFICATION March 8,1979 PRuliMINARY NOTIFICATION OF EVENT OR UNUSUAL OCCURRENCE--PNO-79-45 This preliminary notification constitutes EARLY notice of event of POSSIBLE safety or public interest significance.
The information presented is as initially received without verification or evaluation and is basically all that is known by IE staff on this date.

REACTOR VESSEL DELIVERY TO SITE The reactor vessel is expected to be transported on March 9,1979, to the site from the barge landing in Hampton Harbor. Movement will utili:a a tractor trailer on public roads.
This PN is being issued for information because of expected media interest.
Media interest is expected because of the stated intention of various groups to physically oppose movement of the reactor vessel.
The State of New Hampshire has been informed.
A press release is not planned by the licensee or NRC.
