PRELIMINARY NOTIFICATION OF EVENT OR UNUSUAL OCCURRENCE--PNO-79-357 This oreliminary notification constitutes EARLY notice of events of POSSIBLE, safety or oublic interest sianificance.

ADDITIONAL ALLEGATIONS PROVIDED TO NEWS MEDIA RELATED TO U.S. TESTING COMPANY hews media in the vicinity of the Marble Hill construction site have reported that Rep. Joel Deckard has bbtained a sworn statement from an inspector for tne U.S. Testing Company at the Marble Hill site which alleges that in at least one instance a report he prepared was changed and his signature falsified.
^e;. Deckard reported he planned to submit this information to the Department
- f Jus tice.
U.S. Testing Company is contracted by Public Service of Indiana for various testing activities including testing associated with concrete placement and reinforcing steel bar strength.
The a'. leger is also reported by the news media to have told Rep. Deckard that:
(1) Curing temperatures were recorded on days when no inspector was present,
(^) concrete samples were placed on ice to change their temperature and (3) ne
'ac ceen instructed by his superiors to select the best Datches of concrete to
